It’s been a long day of hiking
and i ain't seen a soul
that bean burrito is a-knocking
and i gotta dig a hole
so i climb up to a hilltop
and find a little rock
the view goes on forever

first i leave the trail
about forty meters
i find a tree that's fragrant

then i dig a little trench
i bend my knees and balance
maybe hold on to a branch

afterwards i stand up
and look down to check my work
i see a handsome effort
laying down there in the dirt
